What we do
We produce different kinds of film projects in collaboration with individuals and communities.
We look for projects with potential for making a difference. Where making a film can part of something bigger, might be the beginning of change, can move something forward.
Our films have been commissioned as reports, as research, as documents and often as a way of bringing different people together.
We’ve done this with councils, libraries, urban development teams and architects, universities, artists and creative businesses.
Collaborative film projects
An embedded process means we can pay attention to the life of a place at a micro level
Our filmmaking embraces different research methods.
We can unlock a range of findings and synthesize multiple ways of understanding a place and its culture.
It always begins with people. We encourage curiosity, chat and conversations at all stages of a project.
We value chance encounters, working outside office hours, local business and local phenomena, sensory experience. We work in camera and through editing to discover the unexpected.
Our process is a step that can happen at any time in a project and compliments other kinds of qualitative and quantitive research.
We make films that can discover, articulate and celebrate hidden relationships between people and places.
Our film collaborations can create a new shared understanding about a community, a place or a workplace through the people who define it.
